The Mount Kisco Public Library Volunteer Program is Based on 2 principles: allowing volunteers to help out in an area they have an interest/expertise to promote dedicated long term commitment, and secondly to find and assign tasks to improve the daily function of an efficient library, without tapping into the library's budget or encroaching upon staff duties.
It seeks to:
An applications may be obtained at the library or located on the website. The Volunteer Coordinator will review all applications and will follow up with an orientation . Volunteers are contacted regarding duties, schedule and training. Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age to volunteer and may expect to work no more than three hours per week on a given task. Applications are kept on file for three months in case new opportunities arise.
We are creating a new Mount Kisco Public Library Volunteer Handbook and it will be avaialble on this website when completed.
